Mr John Klumpp donated funds to The University of Western Australia (‘the University’) to establish a fund, in memory of his daughter Janice who was a member of University staff from 1968 to 1984, to provide a scholarship to encourage and assist a high-achieving student to continue studies towards a Bachelor of Science with a major in Botany, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or Zoology at the University.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must—
- be a domestic student;1
- have completed at least 48 points towards an undergraduate degree; and
- be enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
- full-time unless the selection body is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances2 which preclude full-time enrolment; and
- in a Bachelor of Science with a major in Botany, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or Zoology.

2 Exceptional circumstances include, but are not limited to, a medical condition or major family commitments.
