To celebrate National Careers Week 2023, Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia, in collaboration with CANEGROWERS, will be hosting a live virtual careers panel showcasing the diversity of career opportunities in the Australian Sugar Industry.
Throughout the session, panellists will share their stories about the pathways that led them to the industry and provide practical advice for people interested in pursuing a role in the sector. Audience questions will be welcomed throughout the session.

Paul Calcino | Sugar Research Australia
Paul is the District Delivery Officer, Far North based at Meringa. He has a degree in Environmental Management (Hons.) majoring in Natural Systems and Wildlife. Prior to the current role, Paul was an Adoption Officer within the RP222C project working on nutrient management planning with growers in the Russell-Mulgrave. He looks forward to continuing his work improving productivity and profitability in the sugarcane industry.
