Forklift drivers are responsible for moving produce from trucks into the processing facility, around the facility. Including into cold storage rooms and then loading them back onto trucks to go to market.
Responsible for the safe movement of product on pallets within and from the packing/processing sheds to cool rooms and transport vehicles. The job requires timely movement of product in line with both manual and automatic production machines
Core Tasks:
- Liaise with Despatch Manager and Production Shed Supervisor
- Carry out all machine pre-checks and maintain all product movement records
- Move pallets in and out of cool rooms in line with batch requirements
- Load pallets onto trucks for despatch
- Unloading of trucks where necessary
- Preparation of despatch paperwork
