The Crawford Fund Student Awards

The Crawford Fund is an Australian non-government organisation that encourages greater recognition in Australia of the importance of international agricultural research, development and training for food and nutrition security. Part of our efforts focus on encouraging the next generation of researchers.

To promote active engagement in agricultural research for food and nutrition security, the Crawford Fund Committees are offering a small number of competitive research funding awards for tertiary students.

The purpose of the Crawford Fund International Agricultural Student Awards is to facilitate active student participation in projects to help them gain valuable experience and expertise in international agricultural research.

Applicants must already be enrolled at a recognised tertiary institute and engaged in a relevant biophysical or socio-economic aspect of agriculture, animal production, fisheries, forestry, natural resource management or food security.

The conditions and requirements for the State and Territory Committees’ awards differ in terms of eligibility, the maximum award amount, and the number of awards provided so we encourage you to look at the webpage for the committee in which your institution is based, and then to make contact with the coordinator in your State/Territory with your queries.
