Alan Blakney Memorial Scholarship

Overview
The Alan Blakney Memorial Scholarship was established by Mrs Lorna Waller to commemorate her brother Alan Blakney (1919-83), who attended the Dookie campus and graduated in 1940. During WWII, he served in the airforce and won the Distinguished Flying Cross. He took up a soldier settlement farm in northern Tasmania and later near Hobart, eventually settling and farming in Western Australia.
