Manage and coordinate operation of a nursery for production and distribution of plants.
Tasks
- Implement strategies for general management of nursery
- Ensure production and supply of seedlings and plants as required
- Ensure accurate chemical application and handling techniques
- Manage the seed storage facility including seed stock inventory, testing, and cold storage maintenance
- Develop, implement and maintain initiatives for required quality and quantity of seedlings and plants required
- Plan and execute maintenance of equipment
- Manage performance of assigned staff, including conducting evaluations and coordinating corrective strategies
- Perform necessary training and development to ensure safety and productivity of staff and workplace
