The Curtin Agribusiness Student International Scholarships are two $5,000 grants for current students to participate in the newly created Curtin Agribusiness Student International Mobility Program.

A breadth of international experience is key in developing future leaders in Agribusiness that can participate in the global agri-food marketplace. Curtin University is a Partner in a range of short-term mobility programs. The scholarship will provide the opportunity to experience industry practices internationally for second and third year Bachelor of Agribusiness students to participate in short-term, not-for-credit, internships with international partner Universities. The Program will focus on research experience but may include short-term study where appropriate.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for this scholarship:

  • Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or Australian permanent humanitarian visa holders
  • Enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of Bachelor of Agribusiness, or other relevant course, in this semester
  • Current CWA of 65 or above
  • Commenced an international placement by 31 December 2017
  • On an academic status of “Good Standing” as at the scholarship closing date
  • Agree to participate in programs to deliver the benefits of their intermational placement to regional WA
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously received this scholarship
  • Preference will also be given applicants who are placing with industries demonstrating engagement with the local indigenous community where the placement will take place
  • Eligible for a Commonwealth supported place
