Arrange purchase or lease of property suitable for development of tree plantations.
Tasks
- Inspect properties to assess suitability for purchase and lease and report recommendations
- Identify, assess, map, negotiate and secure land for tree plantations within agreed parameters
- Communicate to relevant forestry stakeholders as to lease payments, option fees, deposits and settlement funds
- Coordinate subdivision of land and arrange sale of surplus land
- Keep abreast of property market and maintain good relationships with real estate agents
- Provide details to legal counsel for preparation of contracts of sale, agreements to lease and other legal matters concerning land acquisition and sale
- Manage assigned staff, monitor performance, conduct evaluations, counsel and implement disciplinary procedures where required
