Fourteen university students from across Australia have been awarded a 2018 AgriFutures™ Horizon Scholarship, in recognition of their leadership potential and commitment to the future of Australian agriculture.
The scholarship provides $5,000 per year to assist with study and living expenses for two years of the students’ agricultural related degree. In addition to industry sponsors, for the first time in 2018, Westpac have also sponsored three students in their final two years of study in a financial services degree with direct links to agriculture. On top of the bursary, students receive professional development workshops and work placements to kick start their career in agriculture.
